All Assassin’s Creed Games in Order & Updates

Looking to play through all of the Assassin’s Creeds in order? In this post, we’ve provided a complete list of all Assassin’s Creed titles released since 2007.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise is a popular video game franchise. A fusion of fiction and real events retells the story of the Assassin’s fight against the Templars, taking the players to different points in history.

Since 2007, when the first title was released, the franchise has grown rapidly. The series was immediately embraced by players and praised by critics while receiving multiple awards. This contributed to a constant flow of releasing new Assassin’s Creed games in almost yearly intervals.

It has become the most sold Assassin’s Creed ever and is possibly the best one by far. In the year 2020, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released and was very well received by fans. Players will visit the Norse mythology and the Vikings’ lands in this adventure game. A total of twelve major titles have been released and twenty-four (counting spin-offs and sub-series) have been produced by the franchise.

People who play the original Assassin’s Creed series will be wondering how to play all twenty-two games without getting lost. A useful way to solve this puzzle is to follow several different orderings: the chronological order, the release date order, and the order to follow the events of the story.

Short Recap of the Assassin’s Creed Series in Order

There is little blood, gore, or historical figures in the Assassin’s Creed Saga. You probably heard of and played an Assassin’s Creed video game if you are a gamer. You may own all of them if you’re a true gamer.

For those not in the know, the game has been re-made eleven times. There are plenty of spin-offs and DLCs for this game. Isn’t that insane? Below main eleven games sorted by release date, along with information about the saga for those who are looking for more details.

1. Assassin’s Creed (2007)

On the first episode of Assassin’s Creed, Nolan North’s Desmond Miles awakens in an Ancient Egyptian laboratory after entering the Animus which relives the memories of his ancestor. Vidic (Phil Proctor) blackmails him for information only obtained by reliving Altair’s life, so he confronts the man responsible for bringing him to the Animus.

Desmond starts Altair’s story when he enters the Animus to retrieve the golden orb. Failure to perform his mission results in the removal of his rank and weapons. It is necessary for him to assassinate nine Members of the Order of the Templars. While collecting data, Altair must also report back on the targets.

Kristen Bell plays Lucy Stillman, the assistant of Dr. Vidic who Desmond gets close with while he’s on the trails of Altair. During these brief breaks, Desmond goes door to door and finds out what today’s Templars are after.

Minimum System Requirements

For gamers with lower-cost gaming PCs or laptops, running the original Assassin’s Creed will be an easy task as it requires only a dual-core processor. The requirements for a computer are 2GB of RAM and a DirectX 9.0-compatible graphics card, plus 8GB of storage space.

2. Assassin’s Creed II (2009)

Desmond discovers another past ancestor who assists him in becoming a modern-day assassin in this second installment of the Assassin’s Creed Saga. Animus enters the memory of Ezio and adds to his memories. The story of Ezio begins during the Renaissance in the 15th century. It breaks his heart to watch his father and his brothers get hung. His uncle Mario’s villa is near his uncle’s escape from the city.

The legendary Leonardo de Vinci joins Ezio during his quest to avenge his father. The schematics of Altair’s Codex are incorporated into Ezio’s assassin tools that De Vinci enhanced.

In Desmond and Vidic’s quest to recover memories of Ezio, they discover that some of that information is being protected and can be detected only by Animus.

Minimum System Requirements

Any modern system will be able to run the 2nd Assassin’s Creed game no problem. There are a couple of requirements: Intel Core Duo E8200 or AMD Athlon II X4 620 processors, 2GB of RAM, and a video card with 512MB of video memory; 17GB of hard drive space if you have it.

3. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (2010)

After the previous games left off, the next installment of Assassin’s Creed picks up where they left off. The gang sets up camp in the ruins of the Villa Auditore led by Desmond, Lucy, Rebecca, and the other members. Once Desmond and his friends are safely hidden from the Templars, they return to live the life of Ezio.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood (2010)

In 1499, over a century after the events of Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Ezio departs the Vault. Mario is then killed by Cesare, taking Ezio back home, only for him to be rejoined by his uncle Ezio. Cesare entrusts the Apple to the Templars as well as himself.

Rome was restored to its former glory through assassinating key players in Cesare’s organization and sabotaging his resources after the death of Ezio. A looted Apple is recovered and hidden by Ezio. When Desmond awakens, his knowledge of how to recover the Apple stems from Ezio’s memories.

Minimum System Requirements

Despite being not only a non-demanding game for modern systems, AC: Brotherhood only requires dual-core processors, 2GB of RAM, and an 8GB hard drive available.

4. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (2011)

You get to see all three of the main characters in this installment of the Assassin’s Creed saga: Altair, Ezio and Desmond. In 1511 A.D., Ezio travels. It was Constantinople. Istanbul has four districts: Baryezid, Galata, Constantine, and Imperial. Cappadocia, where Ezio starts his journey, is populated entirely by Knights Templar, so it is no surprise that they occupy nearly the entire underground city.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations (2011)

Assassin’s Creed Revelations (2011)

As Ezio explores Cappadocia, he learns that Altair has sealed a magical artifact that could destroy the Templars forever. Like Desmond, Ezio relives Altair’s memories and experiences by using the relics of the First Civilization.

However, Desmond is trapped inside Animus 2.0 in the present day. In the Black Room, Altair and Ezio work to reconnect him with their memories later on and help him wake up from his comatose state.

Minimum System Requirements

AC: Revelations isn’t too challenging for most PC gamers, just as it wasn’t for the first three installments of Assassin’s Creed. The only requirements are a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a DirectX 9.0-compliant GPU, as well as 12GB of free space on your SSD or HDD.

5. Assassin’s Creed III (2012)

A fifth chapter of the epic saga takes place around the American Revolution, in the 18th century. The third Assassin’s Creed game introduced a new character, Ratonhnhake: ton or Connor. Aside from his father being Grand Master of the Templar Order, Connor is a consultant to the Templars.

Assassin’s Creed III (2012)

Assassin’s Creed III (2012)

In New York, the Temple of the First Civilization is located by Desmond and his gang immediately following the events of Revelations. Their access to it is gained by using the Fruit of Eden. Once Desmond reenters Animus, Juno influence causes him to learn about Haytham Kenway in 1754 England. The Key does not open the Temple, Desmond learns while inside his ancestor’s memories.

Ratonhnhake: ton’s perspective switches once Conner was born from Haytham’s. It describes how he became a hired killer, his trials, and his executions.

Minimum System Requirements

The first four AC games weren’t too taxing on systems, but AC III won’t be much better. AC II should run smoothly on any CPU and GPU that have been released within the last 8 years.

6. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (2013)

Desmond’s death should only be the beginning of Absergo’s attempt to find out what his ancestors were like, but it is not. The Animus’ cloud computing capabilities enable them to continue searching Desmond’s memories. Absorbs then hires someone who can examine the memories and recreate Edward Kenway’s life.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag (2013)

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag (2013)

The previous game’s Conner was the grandfather of 18th-century pirate Edward Kenway. In the British and Spanish empires, he uncovers a plot by Templars. Usually, they tend to point a finger at the Sage using their power. The Sage is the only one that can show them the Observatory, a device used by the First Civilization to spy on anyone and everywhere.

When Edward accidentally kills Duncan, he finds himself a part of the Templar-Assassin secret society.

Minimum System Requirements

The system requirements for AC IV: Black Flag have been increased, but again, you don’t need a high-end gaming desktop to play the game. The game recommends that you have a processor of Intel Core i5-2400s, AMD Phenom II x4 940, graphics card of an NVIDIA GTX260, and a space of at least 4GB RAM and 30GB of storage.

7. Assassin’s Creed: Rogue (2014)

Shay Patrick Cormac is referred to as a new recruit by the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins in this installment. He meets a fellow assassin in the North Atlantic chapter known as Adewale while in training. Port-au-Prince was devastated by an earthquake that Adewale brings us.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue (2014)

Assassin’s Creed Rogue (2014)

He is then recruited to investigate the connection between the Precursor artifacts and manuscripts linked to the temple that exactly so happened to be in Port-au-Prince. Rick Jones plays Shay, who impersonates a Templar courier to deliver the artifact to Benjamin Franklin, and his character is voiced by Shay as well. The map Benjamin creates with electricity shows all the Precursor temple locations. The Piece of Eden is held by a temple in Lisbon. Shay is dispatched to recover it.

But once he learns of all the dangers involved with locating a Piece of Eden, he chooses to abort the mission in order to prevent further destruction. Though he attempts to destroy the manuscript, the Brotherhood catches him and shoots him.

Minimum System Requirements

Despite its slight increase in system requirements, AC: Rogue should be acceptable on a modern system as well. You need an Intel Core i5 2400s processor or AMD FX-6100 processor, an NVIDIA GTX 560Ti video card or AMD Radeon HD 6870 with 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of free storage as minimum requirements for the game.

8. Assassin’s Creed: Unity (2014)

In Assassin’s Creed: Unity, the story takes place in 1307. In a crypt, a Templar hides a sword and book for protection in case he is assassinated. After de Molay’s death, you see his wrath against King Philipp IV and Pope Clement V during his last hours.

Assassin’s Creed Unity (2014)

Bishop, we are in the present time, takes control of the memory as a member the modern-day Assassin Brotherhood. Versailles, 1776, is the next place on the memory’s agenda. Here, Elise De La Serre is introduced to Arno Dorian. The Templar Grand Master is her father. Arno sneaks into a party after this and meets up with Elise. In retrospect, he has been mistaken for the murderer of the Grand Master when he sneaks out of his house.

In order to return home to Elise after escaping prison, he must return to his former cell. After becoming a member of the Brotherhood, he devises a strategy to make sure all the Templars involved in De La Serre’s murder are brought to justice.

Minimum System Requirements

AC: Unity’s system requirements are much higher than those of Black Flag despite its release in the same year. Although this game is now more than five years old, modern gaming PCs or laptops ought to be able to run it. Game requirements include a processor with Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350, a video card with Radeon R9 290X or GTX 780, 8GB of RAM, and 50GB of storage.

9. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (2015)

Another assassin initiate is summoned back to the life of another assassin in this installment. The twins Evie Frye and Jacob Frye are the assassins this time. In London, we need to look for a Piece of Eden.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (2015)

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (2015)

London is now occupied by Crawford Starrick, the Templar Grand Master, so retrieving the Piece of Eden is a more complicated quest. As Starrick sees it, the Templars need more political influence in the world. The Frye twins were already beginning to corrupt his plans outside of London.

Having decided to break with the Brotherhood, the twins travel to London where they meet a family friend. Their actions together prevent Templar gang control and high-ranking Templar killing. As a result, they form their criminal organization called the Rooks, and recruit a variety of people to be part of their mission.

Minimum System Requirements

It is recommended that you should have an Intel Core i7-3770 or an AMD FX-8350 CPU. with AMD Radeon R9 280X graphics cards and 8GB of RAM with 50GB of storage space.

10. Assassin’s Creed: Origins (2017)

You travel back in time to meet Bayek and Khemu in this 10th installment. During the game, they end up abducted by masked men who take them to the Temple of Amun’s vault. During Bayek’s encounter with the masked men, they attempt to forcibly open a secret vault by handing him one of Eden’s dormant apples. Only his father was accidentally killed when Khemu tried to protect them from the masked men.

Assassin’s Creed Origins (2017)

Assassin’s Creed Origins (2017)

When Khemu’s father dies, he is determined to kill all the men that were involved in his father’s death. Siwa and Alexandria are among the locations he visits on his quest. At Alexandria, Khemu finds out that the five men on Bayek’s death team are not the only men responsible. Their goal is to take control of Egypt. There is an entire order known as the Order of the Ancients.

Once she has gathered more members, she then makes Khemu go after them and kill them.

Minimum System Requirements

The recommended system requirements are the same for AC: Unity and AC: Origins. Origins suggest at least an Intel Core i7-3770 processor, an AMD FX-8350 graphics card, 8 GB of RAM, and at least 50 GB of hard drive space.

11. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey (2018)

Starting with the Spartan-Persian battle of Thermopylae, this Assassin’s Creed has a compelling plot. In his victory over the Persians, King Leonidas is informed that they had found the path to the mountain.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (2018)

Animus DNA is contained in King Leonidas’ spear, which is located in the presence. When the Misthios was a child, the memory began for him in the Animus. Forest fire caused the Misthios to escape to an island called Kephallonis after they were thrown off a mountain and survived.

At Delph, the Misthios encounter Herodotos, who warns the group about the secret Cult of Kosmos. They want them and their family gone because of the Cult of Kosmos. In order to keep Greece safe from the Cult, Misthios decides to clear it out of the way.

Minimum System Requirements
